Marcha Reumel, MSc., is an experienced educator and curriculum designer with a strong commitment to advancing workforce education and promoting ethical leadership. Currently pursuing a doctorate in Workforce Education and Development at Penn State, Marcha blends hands-on experience from her role as a police commissioner in Suriname with a solid academic background.
She has led impactful curriculum initiatives in police education, emphasizing ethical decision-making and human rights. Marcha has designed and taught courses ranging from leadership skills for supervisors to effective teaching strategies for workplace learning. Her teaching is enriched by her in-depth knowledge of ethics, culture, diversity, and inclusion.
With her unique background in both policing and education, Marcha connects with diverse audiences across government, business, and public safety sectors. She also serves as President of the Comparative International Education Student Association at Penn State, actively contributing to academic leadership. Marcha is dedicated to becoming a researcher, author, and consultant, creating justice-centered educational programs that empower individuals and enhance organizational effectiveness.

Marcha Reumel currently serves as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Learning Performance Systems at Penn State, where she plays an active role in marketing the Workforce Education and Development Program. She also holds the position of President of the Comparative International Education Student Association, strengthening her leadership and outreach within the academic community.
As a Teaching Assistant in the College of Education, Marcha contributes to WFED 472: Platform Skills, where she supports students in developing effective presentation and instructional techniques. In her role as a Research Assistant, she is engaged in research focused on experiential learning, exploring how hands-on, real-world experiences enhance educational outcomes.
Marcha is also collaborating with fellow researchers on an upcoming textbook aimed at equipping students with essential leadership skills, set for publication next year. While she is yet to publish her first article, she is diligently working toward completing her inaugural publication within the next two years.
